Miss Dior Cherie

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0oWGD5yYS9g <-----Click this link, or watch the commercial on the Video Bar to the right!

I wish I was Miss Dior Cherie. She lives in the most beautiful city, she has a beautiful pink John Galliano dress, she can randomly kiss handsome strangers, she gets private fittings at the Dior boutique, she eats beautiful candies, and clearly she never gets fat from them (she sails off with a bunch of balloons). Oh, and to top it off she also has great hair. I wonder - are there really people who live like this? If so, I wish I could be one of them!

Back to Blogging!

Hello everyone!

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday, and a happy new year! While most of my New Year's resolutions are typically forgotten by the end of January, I still enjoy pretending that I will follow through with my hopes for the year. Therefore, after my extended absence from Kawaii Belle (which I am so terribly sorry about! I know school work probably doesn't seem like a valid excuse - but that's all I've got for you.) I have decided that my New Year's resolution for 2010 is to post something new at least once a week. Also, I hope to follow other fashion blogs to learn from them and to make new friends!

So, here's hoping that I can meet this goal, and also, since this is a primarily fashion blog, I have a picture of one of my absolute favorite Christmas presents this year - my new Lanvin sneakers (worn by THE Michelle Obama)! They are made of grape satin with a crinkled leather toe and purple grosgrain ribbon. You can still catch them at Net-a-porter.com at an amazing sale price of 50% (If I recall correctly) off the original ridiculous $530 price tag. Enjoy!

Etsy ideas...

Bonjour!
So.. I was snitching some inspiration off of one of my favorite websites - Etsy.com - and I have come across these adorable bows! I'm thinking they might be pretty easy to make, and the posibilities would be endless for fabrics and so on. Not so sure about the veil though. What do you think of them? Any ideas? Color suggestions? Let me know!

Vera Bradley to the Rescue!

Hey everyone! So I know this post is a little out of season considering it isn't exactly the time of year for back-to-school shopping :P but I just can't resist mentioning this must-have backpack solution! (because I know I'll forget by the time back-to-school season rolls around haha). Anyway, being a freshman, I was quite surprised that nobody seems to use backpacks anymore in High School. Everyone carries these tote bags that fit MAYBE one binder or some just carry a designer shoulder bag. These seem totally impracticle to me, so I chose the backpack route - which induces much taunting, etc. It also detracts from my oh-so-adorable, carefully-selected outfits. I knew there must be a better way. And yes! Vera Bradley has come to the rescue with the most fashionable and FUNCTIONAL backpacks! Not only are they actually usable sizes with many compartments, but they come in all of her awesome prints, too! My favorites are the Mod Floral Pink and the Pinwheel Pink :). Find them at verabradley.com for $92.00!

Favorite Teen Vogue Shoot ♥

So this is my all-time favorite shoot (so far) from Teen Vogue in the December/January 2008 issue, and yes I know that it's old but it's still my favorite. It's called "La Dolce Vita" and the setting is Venice.. which already makes it amazing. I love how perfectly the photographer captured the old world feel of Venice; I truly hope to visit the beautiful City of Water some day, but for now I'll have to settle for seeing it in pictures. However, what truly adds to the shoot is that lovely male model named Gabe *swoon*. It disappoints me that so few of the Teen Vogue photoshoots include male models. I find their clothing is sometimes even more interesting than the girls! Anyway, my rant is over, but I just wanted to share a couple of these fabulous pictures with you.

Fake Glasses!

So I've seen many of these "readers" lately.. and I'm wondering what you think of them. I personally think they're adorable, but I'm sure that people who actually wear glasses think it is silly to wear them if not necessary. They work really nicely for the whole "geek chic" look, and they come in really awesome colors :D
Here are a few of the best suppliers:

Super (My fave! A bit pricy though)
Modcloth
Urban Outfitters
Hot Topic

Most of them range from $8-25, however Super readers are more like $125 :/
